It was very unfortunate where the whole Edwards family personal and political dynamic went over the last 2 years or so, but…for many years, Elizabeth Edwards had been such an admirable, brilliant Liberal and Progressive icon as lawyer, wife, mother, and political partner to her Senator and Vice Presidential candidate husband, John.
Her long, agonizing battle with cancer ended yesterday at her home in Chapel Hill, NC. She was 61. Our thoughts and condolences go out to those close to her, especially her children, Cate, Jack, and Emma Claire. She truly was the brains and practical heart in her political family…
